Hello Creekside Neighbors!
Realizing it has been quite some time since the last Association Newsletter, this one contains more news than “usual”.
After a historically dry winter which left many yards parched and in poor condition this spring, much needed spring moisture has brought them back to life and most are looking no worse for the wear. The Association would like to remind all owners to finish their spring clean-up and continue maintaining their yards in compliance with Covenants. While this maintenance includes sufficient watering, please be mindful of water usage (see the City of Longmont’s current watering recommendations/restrictions).
Thanks to the Landscaping Committee and its Volunteers, we again have new spring plantings at Creekside’s main entrance at the corner of Pike Road and Ridgeview Drive. Please take notice of and enjoy these throughout the summer as they grow and flower.
The Board of Directors has been made aware of recent delivered parcel thefts from several owners’ properties. Owners are encouraged to receive delivery notices and collect (themselves or via a family member or neighbor) their parcels as soon as possible after delivery. If you become a victim of such theft, please contact the merchant/shipping company and/or the proper authorities. Additionally, as online phishing attempts and scams have become more prevalent than ever, please be ever wary of such attempts and exercise best practices (see for example recommendations from this online Google search with the prompt “best practices to avoid online phishing scams”) when handling online email, text messages, etc.
Creekside together with Rainbow Ridge and Rainbow Ridge Estates will hold their joint annual garage sale from 8 am to 2 pm on June 20th. Informational flyers have been distributed to owners and the event has been posted on Creekside’s website. Owners please contact me with your name, address and how you will be participating if you would like to have your address highlighted on the event map.
After inspection and consultation with the Association’s Design Review Committee Chair, the Board of Directors has obtained quotes and approved spending Association reserve funds for much needed repairs of Creekside’s perimeter split rail fence, which will entail replacing loose/damaged posts and rails. It is anticipated that this work will be finished by the end of June or early July depending on the chosen contractor’s availability.
After an ongoing long but necessary revision and legal review process, the Board of Directors and Governing Documents Review Committee of Owners are close to having a final draft of the Association’s Bylaws ready for member review and comment followed by a member vote to approve via mail-in ballot. This final draft will be posted and made available with notice on the Documents page of Association’s website along with a summary/explanation of the changes made in comparison with the currently adopted Association Bylaws.
The next Creekside Board of Directors meeting will be held 5:30-7:30 pm Tuesday July 21st in Meeting Room A/B, Longmont Public Library. Owners are encouraged to attend. Remote meeting attendance is now available to owners, please contact the Board and CC the Association Secretary (secretary@creeksideneighborhood.com) with your name, physical address, preferred email address and phone number to request remote meeting attendance and further information.
