Dear Creekside Residents,
This morning there has been a bear sow and her two cubs sighted on Diamond Drive in Rainbow Ridge and in a front yard on Onyx Circle in Rainbow Ridge Estates.
Under no circumstances should you approach or otherwise interact with bears or other wildlife on your property. Please contact Longmont Animal Control at 303-651-8500 or Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) Northeast Region at 303-291-7227 to report a sighting/encounter. For after hours emergencies or aggressive bears you may also contact the Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4501. For life threatening emergencies, dial 911.
To reduce the chances of roaming bears or other wildlife in our neighborhood, please do not leave your garbage cans or food stuffs (including pet food) in your cars or elsewhere outside of an enclosed garage overnight. Please do not leave your pets outside of a secure enclosure overnight.
