Proposed H.O.A. Covenants and the U.S. Constitution
To my fellow Creekside homeowners:
While I am not suggesting that the proposed HOA Covenants are as important as the U.S. Constitution, there are many similarities in the importance of their approval. The Articles of Confederation, and the 6 covenants covering Creekside were / are out dated and ineffective. We must have new covenants before the State of Colorado does it for us.
Like the original U.S. Constitution, the proposed covenants are not perfect. But the Constitutional Congress passed the Constitution with the understanding that it could be made better and more agreeable to many of the constituents by amending it as we have done 27 times since 1787.
If you are planning to vote NO or already have, please consider this same option. Pass this version now and amend later to perfect it. Your HOA board members and other volunteers already invested hundreds of hours of time and thousands of dollars in legal fees to get us this far. We can’t afford to start over.
If you have not yet voted – please do so immediately! And vote to approve> You will save yourself and the rest of your neighbors thousands of dollars and help keep Creekside an attractive place to live.
