Happy Spring Creekside! If your yard looked like mine after the winter, it will take a little effort to get our yards up to par. As a reminder, foliage that encroaches over sidewalks needs to be cut back. Dead trees should be cut down as well. If you have a question about the HOA expectations for yards please don’t hesitate to reach out. Also, trailers and campers are not allowed on the street and in driveways. However, as summer invites RV and boating fun, having a camper or RV out temporarily while preparing for a trip is expectable. If you need to have an RV or boat parked outside for a summer trip for more than a day or two please email the board with your address and desired duration for the vehicle to be parked so we are aware of the situation and can respond to neighbors that may inquire and so we don’t hit you with an HOA enforcement notice. Here’s a link to more information about vehicles.
I encourage you all to sign up for our Creekside Newsletter so you can be up to date on HOA news. From any page on the website, look for the “SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER” box. Simply enter your email address. We will not share your email address.
HOA ANNUAL ASSESSMENT: This year, we were playing catch up on administrative duties for the HOA and we were very late getting invoices out. The invoices were mailed on 27 April. HOA annual assessments for 2022 are $130. Please pay the HOA annual assessments as soon as possible. Next year we will be back on track to mail invoices out mid January for a rough due date of middle March 2023. With increasing cost and inflation, the annual assessment may go up in 2023 but this has not been formally approved yet. A big thanks to our HOA Secretary Renee for all her great help getting the website updated and the HOA invoices sent out!
Covenant rewrite: We are finally close to finishing a covenant rewrite. Some history; the neighborhood was built in sections and the HOA covenants were adopted per neighborhood section and this created several covenants that basically all say the same thing (The six (6) separate filings of the covenants can be found here on the Documents page). The Creekside HOA has retained a law firm that specializes in HOA law. We have hired them to consolidate the multiple filings of the covenants into one filing. This revision also brings our covenants up to date with respect to new state laws for HOAs. Our plan is to have an HOA town hall meeting in mid-June to discuss proposed revised covenants. Then we will send out ballots to vote on final convent adoption in July. It will be nice to have one document on the website to reference for all our HOA covenants! Progress is being made!
If you have kiddos and they like to draw, please email me (president@creeksideneighborhood.com) their art work that is neighborhood or Creekside-related and I’ll post it during my monthly newsletters.
Lastly, we are looking for officer and board members for the HOA. Our big priority is getting a new Treasurer. If you have any interest in taking on Treasurer for the HOA, please contact us.
