Welcome to summer everyone! I don’t know about you, but at this time of the year I sorely miss having the summer off, like many of us used to as kids. Wishful thinking for sure. Especially this year.
Your HOA Board recently received a signed petition requesting a Special Meeting of homeowners with the specific purpose of recalling me and Director Kirsten Mispagel from the Board and electing successors if one or both recalls are successful. There will be more information coming as soon as the date, time and place have been finalized. This will be an important meeting as it will help shape what the governing of our neighborhood will look like in the future. I encourage everyone to attend in person or, if you can’t, please turn in the proxy form you will be receiving in the Meeting notice packet so your voice will be heard.
In other Board news, Kevin O’Brien, a very valued Director, has resigned. In the fourteen months that Kevin served on the Board he contributed hundreds of hours of his own time to two critical projects: verifying what the Creekside HOA actually owns according to county and city records and painstakingly consolidating seven different Design Guideline documents into the first and second drafts of the updated consolidated guidelines (soon to be known as Property Requirements). This work is invaluable to the HOA and it was all done at no cost to the neighborhood. We all owe him a debt of gratitude. Kevin plans to remain on the Design Review Committee for the near future to continue to assist with the consolidation review process. Thanks Kevin for all your incredibly hard work and for your contributions to the Board and to the neighborhood.
Please know that the remaining volunteer members of the HOA Board are still active and will continue to do our jobs for the neighborhood to the best of our abilities.
Keep an eye on your mailbox for notices of the Special Meeting and of the Annual Meeting still scheduled for August 19.
Enjoy the summer!
