It’s hard to believe its July 01! Happy 4th of July! Have fun but please respect the local laws and noise ordinances regarding large and loud fireworks in the neighborhood. We’ve had issues with constant noise from illegal fireworks well into the night in the past and I hope this year goes more smoothly.
We had our Town Hall meeting on 15 June to discuss the new HOA covenant rewrite draft and overall it was very successful. Thank you to those of you that took the time to attend! We had some good feedback that resulted in a few minor changes. The finalized covenants that will be voted on will be posted on the website hopefully by the time this newsletter is posted but if not it will be out within a few days of the 1st of July. It is really important that we get everyone to vote and get these new covenants passed for several reasons: (1) we need to be in compliance with state law, (2) we need new consolidated covenants so we can start to update and clarify all the items in the architectural design committee (ADC) approval rules. After the new consolidated covenants are passed, the ADC update is the last item in a long line of updates and improvements in the HOA. The updated ADC will clarify many of the concerns and questions about approvals and waivers and will add language that reflects new state laws about xeriscaping. And lastly, we need to get the contents passed as quickly as possible so we can end the payments to the attorney for all the edits and work on ensuring the rewrite and approval are done in accordance with the state laws.
Thank you for all the support!
